Service Description

Whether you're wanting to better support someone close to you or brush up on your knowledge, this introduction workshop is a welcoming space to begin. We’ll explore the basics of gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation—along with the language that helps us hold these conversations respectfully and meaningfully. This isn’t just about what words to use (though we’ll cover that!). It’s about why it matters—how identity shows up in our lives, how we relate to power and privilege, and how we can build more affirming, inclusive communities through everyday actions and deeper understanding. Together, we will: - Learn inclusive terms, pronouns, and why language matters - Share tools for interrupting harm and practicing allyship in real-life situations - Explore how to bring more intention, respect, and awareness into our relationships, workplaces, and communities - Reflect on our own identities and experiences with visibility, invisibility, and belonging No prior knowledge needed. Come with curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to learn (and unlearn) in community. Sessions offered every first and third Tuesdays 6pm - 7:30pm and Saturdays 1:30pm - 3pm.
